Estimated Monthly Surplus—
What These Rows Mean
The headline is this month so far plus the rest projected: income and bills on their real dates, and each budget carried on at the rate it is actually being spent.
A budget spending faster than its allowance drags the headline down, and the row under it names which one and by how much. That is a rate, not a loss already taken: spend nothing and the projection falls every day, landing on what was really spent. Every dollar a budget does not spend adds a dollar here.
The three “at Plan” rows are one plan counted three ways, none observed: plan income minus bills minus budgets.
Monthly at Plan averages every input over a month, so it never varies by month.
Annual at Plan is twelve times that — an extrapolation, not a projection.
The named month counts what actually lands in it: its paydays, its dated bills, its food weeks.
